Viewing the management console on a remote machine

About viewing the management console from a remote machine  Top

You view the ContentDirector management console on a remote machine by accessing a Java applet on the core application server through a Web browser on the remote system. The browser that you use determines the procedure for starting and stopping the user interface from a remote machine.

Requirements  Top

The applet requires version 1.3 of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) plug-in. This plug-in is available from the ContentDirector installation CD. If you do not install it from CD, the applet downloads the JVM automatically from a SUN Systems Web site when you first load the applet from the browser..

Caution
On Windows NT and 2000, the administrative user who installed and configured ContentDirector must be logged into Windows on the core application machine for ContentDirector to correctly display and access mapped drives.
