User rights

Types of user rights

ContentDirector has two types of user rights:

Rights for a group of users, or class rights
Rights to a specific resource, or instance rights

Class rights

Class rights enable a user group to access a resource. A system or domain administrator sets these rights for each user group while creating the group. Class rights are the standard method for setting up rights in ContentDirector.

Instance rights

Instance rights are attached to specific resources instead of user groups. They allow regular users to access resources created by other regular users.
