ContentDirector
ContentDirector 2.0 or higher is required to use the API. There are three requirements related to ContentDirector for using the API:
- To compile programs written with the API, the contentdirector.jar file must be in the classpath.
- To use programs written with the API, the ContentDirector NT service or Solaris daemon must be running.
- To successfully distribute content, ContentDirector must recognize at least one destination as online and responding.
Java tools
Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.3 or later must be installed on the system. JDK 1.3 is distributed on the ContentDirector CD, and you can download the most recent version from the Sun Microsystems Web site. The ContentDirector installation program does not automatically install the JDK.
