Storage requirements for the ContentDirector components

The storage requirements for the core application, the transport group leaders, and the transport group members differ.

The core application requires space for the software, logs, the database, and directories related to processing jobs.
The group leaders require only the space required by the CDA software.
The group members require space for the CDA software and the content that is pushed to them.

Storage requirements for the core application

Storage requirements for the core application include the program, database, and log files.

ContentDirector software including the embedded database requires 50 MB at installation.

The database increases in size over time in proportion to the number and size of jobs it holds.

The space required for log files is determined by the following factors:

Level of logging (default: debug, which is the most verbose)
Maximum number of log files to be kept on the system (default: 5)
Maximum log size (default: 2000 KB)

Storage requirements for CDAs

The size of the CDA software for both group leaders and group members is less than 50 MB. The group leader does not store the job assignment, so it does not need further storage capacity. The group member must store the size of the largest job assignment pushed, plus the sum of all content previously pushed to the group member that it still stores.
