Generating a unique master key  Top

A master key is used at two ends of data transfers to ensure the security or integrity of the transaction. Each installation of the ContentDirector core application has a master key for this purpose. When ContentDirector is installed, it contains matching default master keys at the core application and each CDA. It is ready to use without any further modifications to the master key. For a higher level of security, you can generate a unique master key for your ContentDirector network through the management console of the core application. See the ContentDirector 2.0 Administration Guide for detailed instructions.
