About unicast to multicast

In this configuration the core application delivers data to a transport group leader/group member on a multicast- enabled corporate WAN. This group leader/group member serves two transport group members. The group members may be either within the broadcast domain of the group leader or behind a multicast-enabled router.

Firewall requirements for unicast to multicast

Unicast to multicast requires bi-directional holes in firewalls at the core application and transport group leader.
