About installing on Windows

The installation wizard

The ContentDirector core application installs onto Microsoft Windows through a graphical installation wizard. The procedures in this chapter apply to both Windows 2000 server and Windows NT.

Note
You do not need to install the CDA because it is included with the Netcache kernel. For instructions on enabling and configuring the CDA on NetCache, see Configuring the ContentDirector Agent Software.

Information you need before you start

Before starting the installation, you need to gather the following information:

The IP addresses of all machines that will run the core application
Your ContentDirector license number from the media box that contains the software.
