Selecting the report location and delivery method

In the Report Delivery section, select the type of report format: Stored Report, E-mail Report, or FTP report.

If the delivery location is...

Then...

Stored directory

Click on the Stored Report radio button.

Result:

This places the Report Definition stored on the machine where you installed ContentReporter in a subfolder under the "..\Network Appliance\ContentReporter\jakarta-tomcat\webapps\ContentReporter\Reports\" folder. The sub folder name is composed of the report definition name and a date-time stamp.

E-mail

Click on the E-Mail Report radio button to activate the E-mail Settings button.

To configure ContentReporter to automatically e-mail the report, click the E-Mail Report radio button, and click E-mail Settings...

Result:

The E-mail Settings window appears.

In the E-mail Settings window, enter your E-mail server address in the first field. For example, enter "smtp.domainname.com" (where "domainname" is your E-mail server's domain name). For one or more E-mail addresses, enter the address in the Recipients field, and click Add.

: Each E-mail address appears in the lower panel. Click OK to have the E-mail settings take affect

FTP

Click the FTP Report radio button, enter the FTP server name in the Server field, the port number (such as 21) in the Port field, and the User name and Password in the appropriate fields. Reports based on this Report Definition will be sent by FTP to the home directory of the user account on the FTP server.
