Step three: Scheduling log file collection

Scheduling log file collection and processing

About scheduling log file collection  Top

Once you create a cache group and add one or more caches to the group, you can create a scheduled event to collect and process the group's log files one time or at regular intervals. You create scheduled events on the Scheduled Events page.

Note
You can only create scheduled events to collect and process log files from cache groups, not individual caches. If you want to create a scheduled event to collect and process one cache's log files, place it in its own cache group.

Which log files ContentReporter collects  Top

If you create a scheduled event to collect and process the log files from a directory, a NetCache appliance, or an FTP server at scheduled intervals, ContentReporter will process all log files (in the directory, on the NetCache, or on the FTP server) that have more recent time-stamps than the newest log file processed during the previous collection and processing event.
