Examining and upgrading your license information
About examining and upgrading license information
You can examine your current license information, and upgrade your license on the Administration Licensing tab. You can examine the number of caches (NetCaches, Web servers, and streaming servers) supported by your current software license. If you obtain a license key to increase the number of caches, you enter the upgrade license key on this tab as well.
Note
If you purchased ContentReporter, you will find your License Key listed in the Software License Key letter in your ContentReporter kit.

The following screen shows the Licensing tab.
Licensing tab fields
The following table describes the Licensing tab fields.

|
Lists your current License Key.

Serial No. field
|
Lists your current serial number.

License Type field
|
Lists your current type of license.

Number of caches
|
Lists the maximum number of node devices you may add to cache groups with your current License Key.

Expiration field
|
Lists either an expiration date (if you are using an Evaluation copy of ContentReporter), or no date (if you are using a purchased copy of ContentReporter).
|
Upgrade License
|
Enables you to enter a new License Key to upgrade from an Evaluation copy of ContentReporter, or to increase the maximum number of node devices or ContentReporter servers.

Examining or entering license information
To examine or enter ContentReporter software license information, complete the following steps.

From a page in ContentReporter, click the Administration tab.
Result:
The Administration page appears.

Click the Admin button.
Result:
The Cache Group tab appears.

Click the Licensing tab.
Result:
The Licensing tab appears.

Examine your current license information.
|

To upgrade your license, enter the upgrade information in the appropriate fields, and click Upgrade.
Result:
The License Upgrade message box appears confirming your upgrade.

Click Apply or OK to save any changes to the ContentReporter server.
Result:
You have successfully examined or upgraded your ContentReporter software license information.
