Connecting to an Ethernet network

Supported Ethernet connections

The appliance has two onboard 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet ports. It also supports the following Ethernet network interface cards (NICs) in the internal PCI riser:

10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) NIC, with an RJ45 connection
GbE NIC, with a fiber optic connection

The following table lists the cabling requirements for the system Ethernet connections.
