Connecting the C3100/C6100 system to a power source

Sequence for powering on units  Top

You must power on the units in your system in this sequence:

  1. Disk shelves first
  2. C3100/C6100 second

    Caution
You must power on the C3100/C6100 after the disk shelves.

The disk shelves and disk drives require time to power on, reset, and prepare to respond to the C3100/C6100. The C3100/C6100 expects these units to be ready for input/output when it powers on and performs its reset and self-test.
