File names for NetCache logs

Log file names  Top

When log files are pushed or rotated, the oldest of each type of enabled logs is discarded, and the file that was the active log file is renamed and saved. NetCache saves the active log file plus from zero to nine of the last logs of each log type.

The following table shows the names that NetCache assigns to each log type.

When NetCache saves the active file, the name takes the following form:

log_name.cache_hostname.timestamp

For example:

http_log.your_cache.2002.12.30.14.45

In the preceding example, your_cache is the name of your NetCache appliance, and 2002.12.30.14.45 is the date and time when the log was pushed to the server. The time stamp is written with a four-digit year, two-digit month, two-digit day, two-digit hour, and two-digit minute.
