When you might need to modify transparency

Why you might need to modify transparency  Top

Because a proxy-cache server intercepts client requests, the server becomes part of the request-response chain. Most proxy-cache servers routinely replace the client IP address with the proxy-cache server IP address. In some circumstances, however, this behavior is not desirable. For example, servers that require IP-based authentication require the client IP address to be the source IP address on a request.

This section discusses the reasons you might want to modify transparency and how you can use NetCache to accomplish your goals.
