Determining port numbers for redirected traffic
Descriptions of port settings
The following table shows, for each protocol supported for transparent proxying, the recommended port numbers to use for transparent redirection. You must open these ports on the switch or router and on the appliance.

80
You can set multiple HTTP proxy ports. Therefore, you can set a proxy port to 80 for transparency, even if you are already running the NetCache service on port 3128.

RTSP
554
If you use WCCP for transparent proxying and redirect RTSP traffic to a port number greater than 1024, random non-RTSP traffic is sent to that port. This random traffic can cause network problems.

RTCP
2001 (recommended)
You must set an RTCP port if you are using QuickTime for streaming. RTCP allows quality-of-service feedback information to be exchanged between QuickTime clients and the streaming media cache through UDP. This port must be an odd number.
