About the MIB
Information contained in the MIB
The NetApp custom MIB provides detailed information about many aspects of the appliance operation.
Where to obtain the MIB
You can obtain the custom MIB from the software CD-ROM or from the NOW Web page at http://now.netapp.com/ (perform a search for MIB). To locate the MIB on the CD-ROM, read the index.htm file in the top-level directory of the CD-ROM. You will need to install the MIB file on you network management station.
However, to obtain trap variable (OID) information from the MIB on the appliance, you can use the Appliance Manager MIB browser.
Installing the MIB
Install the MIB file on your network management workstation according to the installation procedure for your workstation to ensure that your workstation can obtain information from the appliance about the objects that are part of the MIB.
