Section H: Joining a Microsoft Windows NT domain

About this section  Top

This section describes the two ways in which you can join a NetCache appliance to a Microsoft Windows NT domain. You can deploy the appliance in enterprise environments that rely on use of Microsoft Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) to authenticate the appliance to a Microsoft Windows NT domain. Alternatively, you can deploy the appliance in environments that require the cache to authenticate to a Microsoft Windows NT domain without using WINS to resolve the NetCache name and authenticate to the domain.
