If you choose not to wait for the automated discovery process, which runs every four hours, or you have modified the storage systems being monitored, you can expedite the process by manually running storage discovery.
Before you begin
Before performing system discovery, the
ApplianceWatch management pack must already be installed and you must have entered valid credentials for newly added storage systems.
Steps
- Navigate to the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Monitoring pane.
- Select Discovered Inventory.
- If Management Server is not the selected target type, in the pane, select Change Target Type..., and then select Management Server from the target list.
- Select the management server on which discovery is enabled.
- In the pane, select Data ONTAP: Run Discovery Task.
