Importing ApplianceWatch PRO 2.1

After installing ApplianceWatch PRO 2.1, you can import the management packs into System Center Operations Manager so that you can monitor your storage systems running Data ONTAP and Microsoft Hyper-V hosts.

Before you begin

You must have installed ApplianceWatch PRO 2.1 and the MetroCluster management packs on any server on which the Microsoft Operations Manager 2007 R2 operations console is used. You must install ApplianceWatch PRO Agent on all Hyper-V hosts.

Step

From the Operations Manager > Administration > Action pane, select Import management pack to import the management packs.

After you finish

To enable these rules, you must override the Data ONTAP Discovery and Data ONTAP PRO Discovery rules to a new management pack, targeted at the Management Server class, on the management server that will run the management pack rules.

You also must set login credentials for the storage controllers that you want ApplianceWatch PRO to monitor.
