ApplianceWatch PRO is a free management pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 R2 that enables you to discover, monitor, and generate reports for your storage systems running Data ONTAP.
ApplianceWatch consists of the following components:
- Data ONTAP management pack
- Enables you to use your existing storage management tools to monitor all of your storage systems running Data ONTAP through one interface. ApplianceWatch enables you to view your hardware and storage layout, as well as to monitor any issues.
- Data ONTAP PRO management pack
- Enables you to monitor and report on your virtualized environment, and to receive PRO Tips with automatic remediation support within the Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager console.
- Data ONTAP Reports management pack
- Enables you to generate reports for NetApp storage data points over a period of time.
- MetroCluster management pack
- Enables you to solve any controller disputes during MetroCluster installation and also provides instruction to assist you in reassembling a cluster after a cluster has failed over.
- Provisioning and cloning commandlets
- You can use rapid provisioning and cloning commandlets to utilize Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager applications. For more information on the provisioning and cloning commandlets, see the Rapid Provisioning and Cloning Command Reference Guide.
- WMI provider
- You can use the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider with ApplianceWatch to assist you with provisioning and cloning commandlet functionality.
