Adding a storage controller

You can add storage controllers so that ApplianceWatch can monitor their performance and health. Although new controllers are automatically added during scheduled discovery, you can add them manually at any time.

Steps

From the Monitoring pane, select Diagram View.
From the Actions > Data ONTAP Controller Group Tasks pane, select Add Controller.
From the drop-down menu, select the appropriate management server.
Specify the SNMP community string.
Specify the name or IP address of the storage controller you want to add and click Add.

After you finish

After adding a storage controller, you should set credentials using the Data ONTAP:Manage Controller Credentials action.
