Deleting Vservers
You can delete Vservers that you no longer require from the storage system configuration.
Before you begin 
You must have completed the following tasks:
1.
Disabled the Snapshot copies, and DP and LS mirrors for all the volumes.
2.
Deleted all the igroups that belong to the Vserver manually.
3.
Deleted all the volumes in the Vserver.
4.
Deleted the CIFS server.
5.
Deleted any customized user accounts and roles that are associated with the Vserver.
6.
Stopped the Vserver.
About this task 
•
If you delete a Vserver, the CIFS server and any shares defined on the CIFS server are deleted automatically. Any Windows-to-UNIX or UNIX-to-Windows name mappings defined for the Vserver are also deleted because they require both the CIFS and NFS servers.
•
If you want to move data from one Vserver to another Vserver before you delete the first Vserver, you can use SnapMirror commands. For more information about SnapMirror, see the Data ONTAP Cluster-Mode Data Protection Guide.

If you delete a Vserver that is configured to use Kerberos, or modify a Vserver to use a different Service Principal Name (SPN), the Vserver's original service principal is not automatically deleted or disabled from the Kerberos realm. You must manually delete or disable the principal. You must have the Kerberos realm administrator's user name and password to delete or disable the principal.

When you delete a Vserver, the associated sis policies are also deleted.
Steps 
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
Ensure that the left navigation pane displays the Vservers hierarchy.
3.
In the navigation pane, select the appropriate cluster.
4.
Select the Vserver that you want to delete and click Delete.
5.
Select the confirmation check box and click Delete.
After you finish 
After you delete the Vserver, you should reenable the Snapshot copies, and DP and LS mirrors for all the volumes.
