Adding interface aliases
You can use the Add Alias dialog box to add an alias, which is an alternate IP address for an interface, when you change the IP address of an interface to a new address. You can use the alias to continue accepting packets to the old IP address. You cannot add an alias to a physical VLAN.
Steps
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
In the navigation pane, click Configuration > Network > Interfaces.
3.
Click Edit.
4.
In the Advanced tab, click Add.
5.
Type the IP address and a subnet mask of the alias.
6.
Click Save, and then click Save and Close.
