Vserver : Managing Vservers : Stopping Vservers

Stopping Vservers
You can stop a Vserver if you want to troubleshoot any issue with the Vserver, delete the Vserver, or stop data access from the Vserver. You cannot stop a Vserver during storage failover (SFO).
Before you begin
All the clients connected to the Vserver must be disconnected.
Attention: If any clients are connected to a Vserver when you stop it, data loss might occur.
Steps
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system.
2.
Expand the Vservers hierarchy in the left navigation pane.
3.
In the navigation pane, select the appropriate cluster.
4.
Result
The Vserver stops serving data to clients. A Vserver administrator cannot log in to the Vserver.
