This file documents problems in the SDK known at the time of publication.
Release 1.1
The snapshot-list API in ONTAPI 1.0 was re-named to snapshot-list-info
in ONTAPI 1.1. The intent was to leave behind an alias so that snapshot-list
would continue to work, but this was accidentally omitted. An alias has been
added for ONTAPI 1.2, but whenever possible, programs should just use snapshot-list-info,
and specify that they require ONTAPI 1.1 (in the na_server_open call). If
you really need to have your code work with ONTAPI 1.0, you should do the
same thing, but when the API results in a failure, issue the call again specifying
ONTAPI 1.0 and using snapshot-list.
Utilities and sample programs may not run correctly under Windows NT 4.0
when using RPC as the transport.
Release 1.2
A function named quota-list was documented as present in the ONTAPI
1.0 documents, but does not actually exist. References to this function have
been removed.
The sample code for the fpolicy server has issues that were not fully resolved
at time of shipment. Please contact the Advantage Developer program if you
are actively developing to this interface.

to enable third-party application development. Network Appliance
does not support client-side code through its normal Customer
