Cmdlet: Start-NaVolMove

NAME
Start-NaVolMove

SYNOPSIS
Start-NaVolMove will move a single 7-mode flexvol between two aggregates on
the same controller.

SYNTAX
Start-NaVolMove [-Volume] <String> [-DestAggr] <String> [[-CutoverWindow] <I
nt32>] [[-CutoverAttempts] <Int32>] [-ManualCutover] [-KeepSource] [-Validat
eOnly] [-OverrideWarnings] [-Controller <NaController>] [<CommonParameters>]

DESCRIPTION
Start-NaVolMove will move a single 7-mode flexvol between two aggregates on
the same controller. It will run a series of checks to determine if the vol
ume can be moved. If any of the checks results in an error or warning, the A
PI will return with an error. The user has to take the necessary corrective
action before restarting the move. If all the checks pass, the API will retu
rn a success. If the ValidateOnly flag is not set, the destination volume wi
ll be created and the move will start. By default the move will cutover auto
matically. The status of the move can be obtained using Get-NaVolMove. If th
e ValidateOnly switch is set, all the errors and warnings encountered from t
he checks will be returned. The move will not be initiated. If the OverrideW
arnings switch is set and the checks return no errors but one or more warnin
gs, the move will start. If the move fails an EMS message will be generated
. The reason for the failure can be obtained from Get-NaVolMove. After a suc
cessful move, the source volume will be destroyed unless the user has set th
e KeepSource switch. If Cutover cannot be completed in the default or user s
pecified number of attempts, an EMS message will be printed and the move wil
l pause. The reason for the pause will be available in Get-NaVolMove. The us
er can either resume or abort the move.
