Performing unattended SnapDrive installations

You can use batch file scripts to perform unattended installs or uninstalls of SnapDrive for Windows, greatly simplifying installations when you have multiple systems.

Before You Begin

SnapDrive does not support unattended upgrade or removal of SnapDrive versions earlier than 4.0, nor does it support unattended upgrade of earlier MPIO (ntapdsm.sys) versions to Data ONTAP DSM for Windows MPIO.

Steps

  1. Copy the SnapDrive executable to your Windows host.
  2. Create a batch file (a file with a .bat extension) containing the appropriate switch combinations for your unattended install.
