IPv6 support

SnapDrive supports IPv6 in a Windows Server 2008 environment when you are using Data ONTAP 7.3.1 or later on your storage system.

When SnapDrive asks you to provide a host name or IP address, it can look up the name or accept an IP in either IPv4 or IPv6 format. Addresses in IPv6 format are accepted in both expanded and compressed forms.

Note: A link-local IPv6 address can be used for iSCSI session management and for communication between a host and a target only when both are in the same subnet.
