Migrating databases back to local disk  Top

If, for any reason, you choose not to use SnapManager as your data management tool, you need to migrate your databases back to local disk.

To migrate your databases back to local disk, complete the following steps.

Step

Action

1

In the Windows 2000 interface, choose Start > Run.

2

At the dialog box, type regedit.

3

In the regedit file, navigate to the Lotus Domino directory.

4

In the right window pane, look for network paths other than paths pointing to local disk.

For example

Your local drive letter is C: and you want to move all of your data off virtual disk and your local disk. Edit all instances of virtual drive letters to the local drive letter.

Change:

D:\Lotus\Domino\Data

to:

C:\Lotus\Domino\Data

5

After you finish with the Domino directory, navigate to the directory under the Domino directory that corresponds to the version of Lotus Domino you are running, either 5.0 or 6.0.

6

Look for network paths other than paths pointing to local disk and edit them to point to local disk.

7

Close regedit.
