Recovery scenarios

Using backup archives to restore a failed filer volume

About recovery of a filer volume from archives  Top

This scenario explains how to recover virtual disks from a failed filer volume or a failed filer using archived SnapManager backups. Keep in mind that this process performs a point-in-time restore. Any data written to the volume between the time that the most recent (archived) backup was taken and the time of failure is lost.
