Domino server configuration  Top

Prior to installing SnapManager for Domino, your Domino server must archived logging enabled. Circular logging is not supported in SnapManager for Domino and should be disabled. If you disable transaction logging on the Domino server and the change is not recognized by Domino, try restarting the server until circular logging is disabled.

SnapManager remote administration  Top

You can configure a system for remote administration of the Domino server running SnapManager. In this case, you do not need to install SnapDrive (or a VLD driver or an HBA driver) on the remote machine. You can only use SnapManager remote administration for taking snapshots and performing restores. You cannot use SnapDrive remote administration for configuring SnapManager.

Note
When using SnapManager for Domino in a remote administration environment, you must install Lotus Notes on your remote system, otherwise you will be unable to remotely administer SnapManager for Domino.
