Installing SnapManager on a stand-alone system

When to use this procedure

This procedure is for installing and configuring SnapManager 3.1 for Microsoft Exchange on a stand-alone (not clustered) system. Follow the instructions in this section if both of the following statements are true for your environment:

Your Exchange server is not clustered.
You are not in the process of creating a cluster to run Exchange and SnapManager.

Installing SnapManager on a stand-alone system

To install and configure SnapManager 3.1 for Microsoft Exchange on a stand-alone system, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	Install SnapManager. For details, see Installing the SnapManager software.
2	Migrate the Exchange data store to the LUNs. For details, see Using the Configuration Wizard to configure your data store.
3	Create a SnapManager backup. For details, see Backing Up with SnapManager Backup.
