After you determine how many LUNs you need for your SnapManager for Microsoft Exchange installation and what data those LUNs will hold, you must calculate their required size. This also determines the size of the volumes that contain the LUNs.
To determine the SnapManager data sizing requirements for the Exchange data and the SnapManager-specific data, complete the following steps.

Calculate the required size for the LUNs to hold your Exchange databases. For details, see Database LUN size calculation. |

Calculate the required size for the LUN to hold your transaction logs. For details, see Transaction log and SnapInfo directory LUN size calculation. |

If the SnapInfo directory is not on the same LUN as the transaction logs, calculate the required size for the LUN to hold the SnapInfo directory. For details, see SnapInfo directory LUN size calculation. |

Calculate the required size of the volumes holding the LUNs. For details, see Volume size calculation. |
