Overriding database verification during restore

NetApp strongly recommends that you restore only from verified backups. However, if for some reason you do not have a verified backup available when you need to restore and you do not want to wait for a verification to be complete before restoring, you can override the verification requirement and restore directly from an unverified backup.

Caution
NetApp strongly recommends that if you must restore from an unverified backup, that you perform an up-to-the-minute restore. This way, if you discover later that the backup was corrupted, you can restore from another backup to recover.

To override the verification requirement, complete the following steps.

1	From the SnapManager main menu, select Options > Database Verification Setting.
2	Select the Override Verification tab.
3	Select the Override Database Verification Requirement for Restore check box. Result You can restore from unverified backups until you reset this option or until you exit SnapManager.
