This topic describes how to use the Configuration Wizard to configure basic SnapManager settings and migrate your Exchange databases to Data ONTAP LUNs so that they can be backed up and restored using SnapManager. See the following procedures for details:
This topic describes how to migrate the Exchange data stores.
The SMTP and MTA queues are used by Exchange. In general, the location of these files does not matter, as long as they do not reside on the same LUN as the Exchange databases.
Note
This is the "data directory" that Exchange prompts you to specify when creating a new Exchange virtual server on a cluster. This will become the default system path, and the Configuration Wizard places the MTA and SMTP queues there by default.
If you want to have one set of report directories no matter what node you are running SnapManager from, move your report directory to a shared disk resource that does not contain Exchange or SnapManager data.
See Locating the report directory in a Windows cluster.
