Guidelines for using the commands
Observe the following guidelines when using the SnapManager command-line tool:
- All parameters and options are case-insensitive. So using the option "-Daily" will achieve the same results as using "-daily".
- Some of the options must be invoked in a particular order. For best results, use the order given in the synopsis for all options.
- When a parameter value string contains spaces, be sure to enclose it in double quotes. For example, use "First Storage Group" rather than First Storage Group.
- When a parameter has a variable number of input values, it is preceded by a parameter named "count," which you use to indicate how many values will be included in the parameter. If you specify a number different than the number of values included in the parameter, the command fails.
