Update your existing storage system volumes and LUNs as needed:

    1. Review your existing storage system volumes and LUNs against the requirements for your upgraded installation of SnapManager.

New or updated storage system requirements are outlined in your SnapManager data configuration plan, described in Developing your SnapManager data configuration plan.

If your configuration plan includes Exchange database LUNs that reside in volumes that have overwrite reserve configured to less than 100 percent, do the following:

    1. Ensure that the Data ONTAP Snapshot copy autodeletion policy is disabled on each of these fractional space-reserved volumes.

For detailed information, see Viewing fractional space reservation status.

    2. Verify the SnapManager fractional space reservation policy settings for each fractional space-reserved storage system volume. The two trigger points are set to default values and might need to be modified to meet your organization's service level agreements and business continuance plans.
