Action

1

In the Disk List, locate the LUN on which you want the single SnapInfo directory to reside.

Note
The Configuration Wizard will allow you to create the SnapInfo directory only in valid locations. For more information, see SQL Server database configuration restrictions enforced.

2

Use any of the following methods to specify the location for the SnapInfo directory:

  • Select the LUN in the Disk List, and then click the move (<=>) button.
  • Double-click the LUN in the Disk List.
  • Type the full path name of the SnapInfo directory in the Result SnapInfo Directory box.

    Note
For more information about any LUN in the Disk List, move the mouse over the LUN name. This causes a tooltip to appear and display the IP address or host name of the storage system and the name of the volume that houses the LUN.

Result

The Result SnapInfo Directory box displays the path for the SnapInfo directory. Note that the default directory name is SMSQL_SnapInfo.

3

If you want to specify a different location or name, modify the information in the Result SnapInfo Directory box.

Note
The Configuration Wizard will allow you to create the SnapInfo directory only in valid locations. For more information, see SQL Server database configuration restrictions enforced.
