4.5. Socket Binding

Problem:

cserve: could not bind socket socketnumber to port portnumber, errno: errornumber

Cause:

The Connect Server was unable to bind a TCP stream socket to a new port.

Solution:

Ensure that your TCP/IP service is started correctly. If this problem persists, ensure that the TCP resources for your installation have not been exhausted. Consult the attached table for explanations of the error numbers.
