version

Parameters

None.

Returns

The version and build numbers, in this format:

    (version  "vm.vn build number">

where "_m" is the major version number and "_n" is the minor version number.

Description

This command is similar to using the -V option on the histdb command line at the shell prompt, but it lets you check the version number while the Cascade Historian is running.

This command corresponds to the Cogent API function HI_Version and the hist_version dynamic library function.
