2.1. Starting up

You start the Cascade TextLogger at a shell, using the command textlog and specifying any of its command options. For example:

    [sh]$ textlog -d mydomain -n Scribe tl.cfg

Since the Cascade TextLogger works with the Cascade DataHub, the datahub must be running, along with the Cascade QueueServer (qserve) and the Cascade NameServer (nserve). For more information on these, see the documentation on the Cascade DataHub and the Cogent API and Utilities.
